Ok, not really. But the first level is created.
I’m sure I’ll change some (or maybe: a lot of) things. But I’m glad and proud to see – and to play! – the result of my work.
The next task is to polish the gamedesign and remove bugs.
Usually modern games are developed in C++, Flash, Java, Unity or anything like that. But not WANG! What A Nasty Game. I develop my game with GameMaker.
GameMaker is a tool from Mark Overmars, published by YoYoGames. If you take a look at GameMaker, you’ll see it’s very simple.
WANG! What A Nasty Game will have reduced, retro-style gfx and it’ll be a platformer, but this game won’t be cute! It’ll be hard, nasty and mean. To emphasize this aspect I’ll implement many blood- and gore-fx! Take a look at the first bloody screenshot:

The gfx is simple. Simple as the gameplay. The gameplay will be simple – but hard to master! In the next few weeks I’d like to enhance the gameplay and the gfx.
